How to Build a DTF Gang Sheet (and Save on Every Transfer)

A DTF gang sheet lets you print many designs on a single sheet of film and pay by the length of the sheet instead of per design. If you're ordering more than a couple of designs, it's almost always the cheapest way to buy DTF transfers. Here's how to build one with our online Gang Sheet Builder, and how to get the most out of every foot.

How gang sheet pricing works

Every gang sheet is 22" wide, and you choose the length, from 12" up to 504". Pricing is $5.00 per foot, or $4.49 per foot on sheets 20 ft and longer. The builder shows your exact price as you design, so there are no surprises at checkout.

Building your sheet step by step

1. Open the Gang Sheet Builder.
2. Upload your designs as PNG files with transparent backgrounds at 300 DPI.
3. Size each design and arrange them on the sheet. Leave at least 0.25" between designs so they're easy to cut apart.
4. Review your sheet and submit the order. We print it within 24 hours, and the same day when you order by 3 PM ET, Monday–Friday.

Already have a print-ready sheet?

If you've designed your own 22" wide sheet in another program, you don't need to rebuild it. Upload the finished file in the builder and it detects the size and calculates the price automatically. Use a transparent PNG at 300 DPI, up to 504" long.

Tips to fit more on every foot

• Mix sizes. Tuck small designs like sleeve prints, pocket logos and labels into the gaps around larger front and back prints.
• Rotate designs to fill awkward spaces along the edges of the sheet.
• Batch your orders. Combining several jobs onto one longer sheet can push you past 20 ft, where the price per foot drops.
• Check your artwork first. A transparent background matters: any white box around a design will print too. If you're not sure about a file, email it to info@gravity-designs.com and we'll check it for free.

Gang sheet or transfers by size?

If you only need one or two designs, transfers by size may be simpler: pick a size from 2" to 12" (the size is the longest side of your design) and upload your file. For anything more, a gang sheet usually gives you the best value.
